My name is Seoyoung Jeong. I’m 15 years old and am from South Korea. I enjoy baking and reading, watching my favorite movies in my free time.

Reviewed Article: Certain personality traits in high school may lower dementia risk five decades later.

Main Argument & Findings:

The main argument of this article was that this study found that teens who are organized, responsible, and emotionally stable are less likely to get dementia when they’re older. On the contrary, teens who are anxious or very emotional might have a higher risk. This showed me that dementia isn’t just about age or genes and that our personality and habits matter too.

Importance for Youth:

This is important for younger people because it shows the fact that how we act now affects us in the future. If we are aware of this and change our actions, we could save our brains and continue being healthy later. Being organized, calm, and responsible can make a difference, so it’s smart to start building good habits early.

What I Learned:

I learned that small things, like managing stress or planning my schoolwork, could have a big effect on my health years from now on. For example, I sometimes procrastinate and because of that, I’m often stressed and anxious.Luckily, reading this article made me realize I should work on being more organized and calm to take care of my brain so that I remain healthy.
